The Many Meanings of the Buttons
A 3-part Course
Horses use their 'buttons' to communicate with each other and for "self-talk' (thinking things through for themselves).
Every button has a practical as well as an emotional meaning. The better we understand how horses use their buttons, the better we will be able to communicate our ideas, requests and intentions and the more we will understand about our horses' thoughts and feelings
In her book, Horse Speak, the Equine-Human Communication Guide,
Sharon describes the ‘buttons’ – points on a horse’s physical body that
horses use to communicate with each other and for ‘self-talk’.
In this 3 part course, using video and photographs, Sharon will take us on a deeper exploration of the many ways and contexts in which horses use the buttons to communicate about movement, safety, vulnerability, companionship, and much more. Each button has practical and emotional meanings and the buttons are used both for communication between horses and for a horse's 'self-talk' as they process information.
This course will teach you to recognize when and how horses are using the buttons and show how you can use the Buttons just like horses do, for multiple layers of communication, both practical and emotional.
Sharon will also introduce 2 buttons that were not included in her first book.
